Southeast Asia’s pickleball growth has genuinely tracked the global trend, but with its own regional flavour — mall courts, tropical climate adaptations, and a mix of local and international tour interest.
Where the Growth Is Most Visible
Malaysia leads the region on infrastructure — Kuala Lumpur alone now counts over 30 dedicated venues and 200+ courts, a number that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. Cambodia is earlier in its journey, with pickleball only debuting formally in August 2024, but the pattern of rapid early growth is following a similar shape.
