How to Get DUPR Rated in Malaysia

What DUPR is, why players use it, and the simplest way to get your first rating.

DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is the global rating system most tournaments and clubs in Malaysia now use to match players of similar skill. Here is how to get rated.

1
Download the DUPR app
DUPR is free to download on iOS and Android. Create an account and you’ll start as “NR” (Not Rated) until your first match result is submitted.
2
Play and submit match results
Log scores from casual games or club sessions in the app, or have your opponent confirm the result. After one submitted match you already have a rating.
3
Play tournaments with automatic DUPR sync
Many organised tournaments in the region feed results directly into DUPR, so your rating updates without you doing anything extra.
4
Get evaluated by a DUPR Coach
If you’d rather skip building up match history, certified DUPR Coaches can assess your level directly and issue a provisional rating.
5
Keep playing to refine your number
DUPR ratings update after every submitted match, typically within 24 hours, and become more accurate the more results you log.
